Paul Jiménez (EdD ’12)

Paul Jiménez (EdD ’12) has been named a Clinical Assistant Professor for Educational Support Services at the Loyola Marymount University School of Education, where he has served as an adjunct faculty member since 2010. He will serve as Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Fieldwork and Community Outreach. Paul earned his BA in Chicano Studies and History from UCLA and his MA in counseling from LMU. He has previously held the position of Dean of Students at Environmental Charter High School in Lawndale, after which he went to LMU to create and operate the Teacher Preparation Program. Before being appointed to his current position, Paul served as the Director of Transfer Services and Orientation in the Office of Enrollment Management. Earlier this year, the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation awarded $400,000 to a project that Paul co-directs which helps community college students from low-income families to complete their degrees at LMU.
