It is the sixth week of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program and I have already helped create MAT CONNECT; our brand new MAT student organization.  MAT CONNECT is designed to offer MAT students the opportunity to participate in community service events, social events, professional development events, and to provide a student voice.  Our first event took place on August 17, 2012 where we introduced our organization to both on-campus and online students.

I am really excited about MAT CONNECT because it will give MAT students more hands-on experience working with youth, an opportunity to build a greater cohesive cohort, a chance to continue to develop professionally, and the convenience to provide feedback to Rossier.
