Deise Benitez is the new Student Services Advisor at the Rossier Master’s Program Office. She is a resource for inquiries that Rossier Master’s students may have about their degree program, university policies and procedures, graduation requirements, and/or their individual education plan.

Prior to joining Rossier, Deise served as the Program Coordinator at the Harvey Mudd College Upward Bound Program working with low-income and first generation high school students. Before that, she lived in Michigan for two years while serving as the Multicultural Development Manager at the University of Michigan’s Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs.  As a native Californian, Deise was eager to get back to a warmer climate and her friends and family. She is passionate about diversity issues within higher education, youth empowerment, and supporting students achieve their educational goals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare at the University of California Berkeley and her Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University Northridge. She is excited to join the Trojan Family and combine her education and experience to serve the Rossier Master’s students.

The USC Rossier School of Education enrolls nearly 3,000 graduate students who benefit from the academic opportunities and international reach of a world-class research faculty. If you wish to speak to a Rossier faculty expert, please contact Barbara Goen, Assistant Dean for Communications, at barbara.goen@usc.edu or (213) 740-2362.
