About the Profiles in this Collection

This compendium contains profiles of promising practices about educational innovations in charter schools and about governance innovations in charter schools. The profiles were developed and compiled by the Center on Educational Governance. The profiles illustrate how charter school operators, authorizers, and state policymakers have implemented various strategies.  The Promising Practice profile includes:

  • Impact of the practice

Promising Practices Profiles:

Promising practices were identified and selected for inclusion in this compendium based on innovativeness, evidence of positive impact, and potential for transferability or usefulness across states and schools (both charter and district-run).

The Center on Educational Center on Governance has not conducted program evaluations of the strategies profiled in this compendium and does not endorse particular policies, practices, or programs.
