Tracey Weinstein received her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Davis. Before beginning her doctoral studies in urban education policy she worked as an analyst at the Center for Cooperative Research and Extension Services for Schools (CRESS) at UC Davis doing program evaluation, specifically on state interventions in low-performing schools. Tracey is currently working as a research assistant for Dr. Katharine Strunk at the Center on Educational Governance (CEG). Her research focuses on K-12 policy with particular attention to low-income and urban youth. Her research interests are in the economics of education, specifically teacher effectiveness, school governance, and teacher unions.
